I wish I could of taken-up the panel invite for the NewTeeVee conference this week but alas, Im in Berlin for the Best of the Blogs.

Participants at the conference were asked to vote on which network was the most likely to succeed. Since the audience was full of people who are really plugged into this topic matter, I find the results compelling:

While not surprised to see Next New Networks at only %13 percent, its interesting to see that Sony’s Crackle was rated so low.

The audience expected Blip to be the most successful by two times. My Mom always said I know how to pick ‘em.

A California man filed suit in state court Tuesday against internet service provider Comcast, arguing that the company’s secret use of technology to limit peer-to-peer applications such as BitTorrent violates federal computer fraud laws, their user contracts and anti-fraudulent advertising statutes.

“We used to fool ourselves,’ he said. "We used to think our content was perfect just exactly as it was. We expected our business would remain blissfully unaffected even as the world of interactivity, constant connection and file sharing was exploding. And of course we were wrong. How were we wrong? By standing still or moving at a glacial pace, we inadvertently went to war with consumers by denying them what they wanted and could otherwise find and as a result of course, consumers won.”

“A Dutch teenager has been arrested for allegedly stealing virtual furniture from "rooms” in Habbo Hotel, a 3D social networking website. — The 17-year-old is accused of stealing 4,000 euros (£2,840) worth of virtual furniture, bought with real money.“
